The Top-level Research Initiative is launching a call for user-driven research projects within the sub-programme “Energy Efficiency with Nanotechnology” in December 2009. Expected deadline for applications is February 2010.

Nordic Centres of Excellence on Effect studies and Adaptation to Climate Change
The Top-level Research Initiative launches a call for Nordic Centres of Excellence within the sub-programme ”Effect studies and Adaptation to Climate Change”. The aim is to improve knowledge about society’s capacities for adaptation, and the risks and opportunities that the effects of climate change may bring the Nordic region. The total budget of the call is 90 MNOK over 5 years. Application deadline: 3 March 2010 (16:00 CET)

Call for proposals within Sustainable Renovation
Nordic Innovation Centre invites Nordic companies, organizations and research institutes to participate in a European call on Sustainable Renovation. The call is held in collaboration with 9 partners within the ERA-net - Eracobuild. The purpose of this call is to generate joint research and innovation activities within sustainable renovation of the existing built environment. The call provides opportunities for researchers, industries and other organisations to take part in multilateral cooperation in the field of sustainable renovation. Application deadline: 28 February 2010.

TOP-LEVEL RESEARCH INITIATIVE:
Call for Proposals in Sustainable Biofuels and Integration of Large-scale Wind Power
On the 15th of October 2009 two new calls within the Top Level Research Initiative were launched. The two calls are within the sub-programmes “Sustainable Biofuels” and “Integration of Large-scale Wind Power” and are open until the 15th of December 2009.

The call within Sustainable Biofuels focuses on biochemical and/or thermochemical conversion methods for making liquid and/or gaseous bio-fuels for the transport sector from ligno-cellulose based raw materials, such as biomass from forests and agriculture, including by-products and residues.

The focus of the call within Integration of Large-scale Wind Power will be on grid aspects, power and energy aspects, energy market aspects, operation and maintenance and cold climate and offshore wind power.

The Top-level Research Initiative launches a call for Nordic Networks within the sub-programme “Effect studies and Adaptation to Climate Change”. The sub-programme aims to improve knowledge about the effects of climate change, about society’s capacities for adaptation, and about the risks and opportunities that the effects of climate change may bring to the Nordic region.
Deadline for applications will be 13 November 2009 (16:00 CET).

NORDIC MINT III: Micro- and nanotechnology applied for energy efficiency
Nordic Innovation Centre (NICe) is participating as funder in the MNT ERA-Net transnational call. MNT ERA-Net is the network of European funding programmes for micro and nano technologies. NICe is enabling participation from all Nordic countries in this European call. Open for applications now!
Deadline for pre-proposals May 6th at 12:00 CET.

Nyt program for Nordiske innovationsprojekter i Asien
Som pilotprojekt for fælles nordiske innovationsprojekter i Asien, lancerer Nordisk Ministerråd i samarbejde med Nordisk InnovationsCenter i Marts 2009 programmet: Nordiske Innovationsprojekter med Asien. Programmet løber fra og med Marts 2009 og til og med 2010. Interesserede kan med fordel læse publikationen: Etablering af Nordiske Innovationsrepræsentationer i Asien?, og ansøgninger til programmet kan sendes via link nedenfor.
