This report is one of the outcomes of the project: “CSR-Driven Innovation – Combining design and business in a profitable and sustainable way” which was carried out in the period 2007 - 2010. The aim of the project was to strengthen the competitiveness of Nordic SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) by providing them with an increased knowledge about how to use CSR-driven innovation. |

The ability of Rapid Manufacturing, RM, to manufacture any design created in a 3D CAD system, without having to consider the geometrical limitations of production processes or expensive tooling, opens new possibilities for individual design of products and parts. |

How to design experiences: ’Experience design in city tourism’ has gathered 14 city tourism organisations from most of the larger cities in the Nordic region. In August 2007, a large comparative interview study of more than 5.000 tourists was conducted and analyzed. The projects aim was to gain knowledge about the experiences that tourists have, want and remember, in order to improve the experiences that are supplied and demanded in the cities.

The educational drive within the Creative Industries, are on quite different levels in the Nordic countries. While it seem to be veritably blooming in Sweden, we see a more modest pace in other countries. |

The Mobile Learning Environments project will explore the possible uses of mobile or pervasive learning games in schools and educational environments of today and tomorrow. By obtaining knowledge from situated tests, we aim at delivering recommendations about platforms, applications and business development.

The Nordic-Baltic project brings together four municipalities in a joint effort to outline the measures most suited for regional development of creative industries in Nordic countries. By drawing up strategies for developing creative industries for four Nordic regions and compiling a manual on the basis of these strategies as well as other European examples, the project will explore the possibilities for a Nordic model for creative industries development. > Les mer |

Attracting seed capital and investment to creative sectors is one thing; using it and managing it in the right way – a way that is both productive and accountable to investors – is another thing. Presently there are a series of asymmetries that block effective communication between potential investors and recipients. The project aims at building a bridge between these by producing a guidebook to the investment process in CI with a focus on Design.

Nordic countries have versatile expertise for cross-sector excellence in the emerging field of Serious Games. As part of interactive media industry this field focuses on designing and using digital games for real-life purposes such as education, health care, safety, public policy, and business development. This project aims at uniting and strengthening the Nordic serious games industry with various collaborative actions for raising Nordic countries in the forefront of the field.
